The impact of the pandemic has serious implications to the practice of social work – on the design of national and local social welfare systems and organizations, the priorities on funding allocations, the aims of policy reforms and program directions, and the competency requirements, job qualifications, work responsibilities and burdens of social work and welfare professionals. All these changes will affect the quality of social services delivery to client populations and the social work profession’s capacity to meet these new challenges and embrace opportunities.
